5086 aluminum tube API 650 larger diameter tanks

Bearing on Foundations
Foundations shall preferably be designed to resist the load exerted by the API Standard 620 tank and its contents when the tank is filled with water to the design liquid level. Foundations shall be designed at least for the maximum operating conditions including the wind load. During the API 650 larger diameter tanks water test, the total load on the foundation shall not exceed 125% of the allowable loading. If necessary, the water level during the test may be reduced below the design liquid level line so as not to exceed the 25% maximum overload (see Q.8.1.2).

API 650 tank has the advantages of less load on the floating plate, simple and light structure, and can save the central drainage pipe and rotating floating ladder on the API 650 larger diameter tanks floating plate. The materials for easy construction and maintenance and sealing parts can avoid aging due to sunlight.

Large-scale vertical API 650 larger diameter tanks mostly use internal tank bottom heating coils to heat the medium stored in the storage tanks. The heating coils are mostly smooth tube structures arranged in an annular circle along the bottom of the API 650 larger diameter tanks. Commonly used heating methods include hot oil circulation heating method and hot water steam circulation heating method. The hot oil circulation heating method is to continuously extract part of the liquid medium from the storage tank, and then return it to the container to mix with the medium in the tank after heating, and the heat is quickly transferred through mechanical stirring.
