API 650 unanchored flat-bottom tank metal-seated ball valve
When talking about our team, it is hard not to mention our QC department (Quality Control). We have built strict qualitycontrol system to guarantee the steel quality. During the steel materials production, we have strict monitoring measures and indicators, and ensure no chemical composition, mechnical properties and so on technical problems for the steel materials API 650 unanchored flat-bottom tank. After production, our QC department will conduct another inspection regarding to the steel quantity, dimension, mark and so on points before delivery.
The mechanical seal of floating roof API 650 unanchored flat-bottom tank relies on mechanical force to press the sealing steel plate tightly against the tank wall, so that it can slide on the tank wall and avoid gap as far as possible. However, mechanical seal has high requirements for the geometry of storage tank and poor adaptability, so mechanical seal is rarely used in newly built floating roof API 650 unanchored flat-bottom tank.
When the API 650 unanchored flat-bottom tank top shell course is the minimum thickness indicated in 5.10.4, Table 5-6 and Figure 5-6, details a – e, h and i, the minimum anchorage shall be designed for normal loads as specified by the Purchaser and by this standard. See 5.11.2.3 for the allowable stress. When the top shell course is thickened beyond the minimum thickness provided in Table 5-6 or as in Figure 5-6, details f and g, or a knuckle is used, the minimum anchorage shall be designed for three times the internal design pressure. The allowable stress for this loading is 90% of the minimum specified yield strength of anchorage material.
