Foundations shall preferably be designed to resist the load exerted by the API Standard 620 tank and its contents when the tank is filled with water to the design liquid level. Foundations shall be designed at least for the maximum operating conditions including the wind load. During the API Std 650 SUG III tanks water test, the total load on the foundation shall not exceed 125% of the allowable loading. If necessary, the water level during the test may be reduced below the design liquid level line so as not to exceed the 25% maximum overload (see Q.8.1.2).

In principle, this eliminates the so-called "large breathing loss". The Egypt customer ordered 130 tons API Std 650 SUG III tanks stainless steel plate in stock, and this batch has left port today for its destination today(October 25th, 2019). 316l stainless steel is molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel. This material has better corrosion resistant property than 304/314L for it's higher Ni and Mo content. (it is considered to be marine grade stainless steel, not suitable for warm sea water treatment). 316L austenitic stainless steel supplied by our company has good formability and weldablity, additionally it is proved to have excellent properties of tensile, creep and stress-rupture strengths in elevated temperature environment.

API Std 650 SUG III tanks construction must adhere to the design drawings, acceptance specifications and construction plans. If the design needs to be modified during API Std 650 SUG III tanks construction, it must be approved by the original design unit or Party A’s representative and relevant personnel of the supervision unit, and written visa procedures must be completed in advance.
