The diameter of API standard 650 insulated tanks
Welding inspection of bottom plate of API standard 650 insulated tanks, vertical oil tank: During the fabrication and installation of API standard 650 insulated tanks, the bottom edge plate is welded first. According to the requirements of the technical standard, penetrant inspection is required for the weld of edge plate at the bottom of API standard 650 insulated tanks, that is, penetrant testing is required for each weld bead priming, filling and capping. In the process of testing, if any defect is found, it shall be repaired immediately. After the repair, the surface coloring penetrant test shall be conducted again until the test result is qualified.
Heat-affected zone impact specimens shall be taken across the weld and as near the surface of the material as is practicable. The API standard 650 insulated tanks material specimens shall be of sufficient length to locate the notch in the heat-affected zone after etching. The notch shall be cut approximately normal to the material surface to include as much heat-affected zone material as possible in the resulting fracture. Impact test specimens shall be cooled to the temperature stated in Q.22.
API 650 internal floating roof API standard 650 insulated tanks tank can be used to store gasoline, jet fuel and other volatile oil products, as well as aldehydes, alcohols (methanol, ethanol), ketones (acetone), benzene (benzene, toluene, xylene, styrene) and other liquid chemicals.
