API standard 650 horizontal tank piping flexibility
The API 620 large storage tank nozzle neck is fabricated by welding from 1/2-in. plate. The materials in the tank wall, the nozzle neck, and the reinforcing pad conform to ASTM A442 Grade 55. The main joints in the tank wall are fully radiographed, double-welded butt joints. The longitudinal joint in the nozzle neck is of the same type API standard 650 horizontal tank but is not radiographed; however, the longitudinal joint and all other parts of the nozzle-and-wall-plate assembly have been shop stress relieved after fabrication, as required by 5.25. The adequacy of the reinforcement and attachment welds shown in Figure F-6 shall be determined.
API 650 internal floating roof oil tank is a volatile liquid storage tank with a combination of a dome tank and an internal floating roof structure, which is a floating roof assembled under the dome of the API standard 650 horizontal tank storage tank. The combination of the vault roof outside the API 650 storage tank and the floating roof inside the tank has been widely used in gasoline, aviation kerosene and more volatile chemical liquids.
Proper use of API standard 650 horizontal tank and precautions:1. The API standard 650 horizontal tank must be used within the safe height range;2. Check before use to ensure that the safety valve and breathing valve are flexible and easy to use;3. The explosion-proof and fire-proof safety measures for oil tanks are implemented effectively;4. The oil level in the API standard 650 horizontal tank should be accurately measured when receiving and delivering oil, so as to prevent overflow or empty;5. In the process of receiving and sending oil, the flow rate of oil should be controlled, and it should not be too fast to avoid electrostatic accidents.
