Oil storage tank with floating roof structure: The floating roof in the API Std 650 aboveground welded storage tanks oil storage tank can effectively reduce the volatilization consumption of oil, because the gas space on the oil liquid surface in the floating roof storage tank is small, the exhaust volume is low, and the breathing loss is very small. That can reduce the volatilization loss caused by the "big breath" of the API Std 650 aboveground welded storage tanks. Strengthen the inspection and maintenance of API Std 650 aboveground welded storage tanks: regularly check the sealing conditions of oil storage tanks, and check and maintain important auxiliary equipment to ensure good sealing performance.
The tank shall be filled with water to the design liquid level unless height is limited as noted in API 620 standard Q.8.1. After the tank is filled with water and before the pneumatic pressure is applied, anchorage, if provided, shall be tightened against the hold-down brackets. All welds in the API Std 650 aboveground welded storage tanks shell, including the corner weld between the shell and the bottom, shall be visually checked for tightness.
