API 650 uplifting tanks gauging wells

Our quality control department will do inspection for details of the steel materials API 650 uplifting tanks before delivery. We would invite the customer side to attend the inspection together. If they can not come, we will also take rich pictures for them to check. Meanwhile, we will publish inspection report and send them the PDF version. Besides, we accept any third party inspection such as SGS, BV, etc. And our quality control department will support the third party to inspect the steel materials smoothly and try our best to deliver the qualified steel materials to customers earlier.

All oil tanks have service life. Due to the pressure of the oil stored on the tank and the corrosion of the oil and external environment on the tank, the oil storage tank will gradually become thin or crack after a long time. Due to the different materials and environment of API 650 uplifting tanks, the consumption of API 650 uplifting tanks is different, so it should be taken into account when evaluating the remaining service life of API 650 uplifting tanks.

Impact Tests for High Alloys
Impact tests are not required for the high-alloy (austenitic stainless steel) API 650 uplifting tanks base materials, nickel alloy based materials, aluminum base materials, and weld deposited for the nonferrous (aluminum) materials. Impact tests are not required for austenitic stainless steel welds deposited by all the welding processes for services of –200°F and above. Austenitic stainless steel welds deposited for service below –200°F by all welding processes shall be impact tested in accordance with Q.6.2 except that the required impact values shall be 75% of the values as given in Q.2.2.2, Item c.
