13.5m diameter API standard 650 ambient temperature tanks
Compared with the external floating roof API standard 650 ambient temperature tanks, the internal floating roof API standard 650 ambient temperature tanks has the advantages of protecting the floating roof from wind and rain and ensuring the quality of liquid storage under the floating roof. At the same time, because the inner floating plate is in the tank, there is no rain and snow load, so the central drainage pipe and escalator and other accessories on the floating plate can be omitted. In addition, under the same sealing conditions, the internal floating roof tank can further reduce the evaporation loss compared with the External floating roof tank.
Impact Requirements for Controlled-rolled or Thermo-mechanical Control Process (TMCP) Plates: Subject to the approval of the Purchaser, controlled-rolled or TMCP plates (material produced by a mechanical- thermal rolling process designed to enhance the notch toughness) may be used where normalized plates are required. API 620 welded storage tanks each used plate, as rolled, shall be Charpy V-notch tested to the requirements of R.2.1.2.
API 650 storage tank stipulates that if the thickness of the lower wall panel obtained by calculating the anti-overturning moment is greater than the thickness of the API standard 650 ambient temperature tanks hydrostatic pressure test (both do not include the corrosion allowance).
