Steel plate materials for API standard 650 liquid storage tanks
API 650 is the standard for welded tanks for oil storage. It specifies the API standard 650 liquid storage tanks design, manufacturing, welding, inspection and installation requirements of oil tanks. API 650 is widely used in storage tanks with internal pressure less than or equal to 2.5 PSI.
The bottom plate of the vertical API standard 650 liquid storage tanks directly contacts with the foundation soil, which is suitable for the flexible foundation, and its settlement characteristics are quite different from that of the rigid foundation. For the settlement calculation of the foundation of a vertical API standard 650 liquid storage tanks, the one-way compression layered sum method can be used. The calculation method is to divide the foundation soil into several layers of compression within the calculation depth of the foundation settlement, and then find the sum. The calculation method of the compression amount of each layer is the same as the calculation method of the compression amount under the condition of no lateral deformation.
In this project, an elemental area of API 620 oil storage tank wall is constructed of ASTM A516 Grade 55 steel plate subjected to a meridional unit force, T1, of 2620 lbf/in. tension and a latitudinal unit force, T2, of 2880 lbf/in. compression. The meridional radius of curvature, R1, is 132 in., and the length of the normal from the surface to the axis of revolution, R2, is 409 in. The joints in the wall are spot-radiographed, double-welded butt joints, and no corrosion allowance is required. The problem in this example is to graphically find the minimum thickness of tank wall required for the given conditions (see API 620 tank standard 5.10.3.3).Solution: As determined from Table 5-1, the maximum, allowable tensile stress value, Sts, for ASTM A516 Grade 55 steel plate in simple tension is 16,500 lbf/in.2. Since the compressive stress is latitudinal, the governing value of R for this situation is R1, or 132 in.
In order to further transform the operation mechanism, establish the operation concept of "market-oriented, customer-centric", strive to improve our core competitiveness and promote the rapid development of business; further strengthen customer marketing management, subdivide customer groups, establish a top-down, crisscross, hierarchical marketing mechanism of "everyone is a marketer", and provide for the needs of different levels of customers Corresponding services.
The trend of international shipping development of large-scale ships and strategic joint ventures puts forward higher requirements for modern ports. Modern ports no longer use the general cargo throughput as a measure sign, and container throughput will become the main sign to measure the role and status of modern ports. The average container capacity in 2000 is 3200teu, and it is expected to be 5500teu in 2020.
