ASTM A216 grade WCB external floating roofs API standard 650 storage tank
Due to irregular operation of API standard 650 storage tank welding, there are many weld deformations during the construction process. Before specific operations, most construction units have formulated relatively complete construction plans and set up special welding process instructions, but the operators have not fully performed welding in accordance with various process guidance requirements and construction specifications, resulting in some quality problems of oil storage tanks. How can we reduce or even avoid this kind of situation?
The horizontal projection of the roof plate within the compression-ring region is 4.9 x 0.866 = 4.25 in., which fulfills the requirement of API 620 tank standard 5.12.5.1. The required area and horizontal projection can be provided by any of the standard angles listed in Table F-3.Any of these angles may be used in accordance with the details of Figure 5-6, detail a or b, but if details c, h, or i in Figure 5-6 were intended, the net area of the angle must be calculated by deducting the area expected to be lost by corrosion from that part of the angle surface that is exposed to the interior of the tank.
This standard only applies to API 650 storage tanks API standard 650 storage tank with uniform bottom support and non-refrigerated service storage tanks with a maximum design temperature of not more than 93 degrees Celsius (200 degrees Fahrenheit).
