API Std 650 uplifting tanks local deviations
API 650 is the standard for welded tanks for oil storage. It specifies the API Std 650 uplifting tanks design, manufacturing, welding, inspection and installation requirements of oil tanks. API 650 is widely used in storage tanks with internal pressure less than or equal to 2.5 PSI.
Determination of Required CapacityThe aggregate capacities required for any vent valves, pressure-relieving valves, and/or vacuum-relieving valves to be provided should be determined as follows:a)For thermal breathing and product movement, the rules given in API 2000 shall be followed. The required capacity as the result of the product movement into the tank API Std 650 uplifting tanks given in API 2000, shall be multiplied by the ratio of the absolute tank pressure to atmospheric pressure (14.7 lbf/in.2 absolute).b)For supplemental safety pressure-relieving devices to take care of extra venting capacity required in case of external fire exposure, the rules in API 2000 shall be followed.
As we all know, steel pipes occupy more space in the process of transportation. If there is no good way of packing, the transportation cost for steel pipes will be a big expense. In view of this characteristic, our company is ingenious and adopts the nest package method to solve this problem perfectly. The premise of the nest package is that the diameters of the steel pipes are different, and the small diameter pipe is inserted in the large diameter pipe. This not only saves the volume, but also saves the transportation cost. It also reduces the loading and unloading workload by half, saves precious time, and enables customers to receive goods earlier.
