Sidewall-to-bottom welds not having complete penetration and complete fusion shall be inspected by means of either a vacuum box test of the inside weld as described in API 620 specification Q.8.2.1, or where approved by the Purchaser, a direct pressure solution film test as described in Q.8.2.2.

Provide blind flanges, gaskets and bolts required for the API standard 650 welded storage tanks test (other types of covers are also required if necessary). Covers for maintenance shall be provided in accordance with the interfaces specified by API 650 petroleum storage tanks, and these seals shall remain in place after the test; and for those interfaces that are not provided for maintenance covers, the covers can be removed after the API standard 650 welded storage tanks test.
