The transportation department is in charge of transporting steel materials from our mill and warehouse to the port, and our shipping department is in charge of the shipping matters. Inspection of weld and micro crack of API 650 SUG II tanks: the inner and outer surface of API 650 SUG II tanks, weld and heat affected zone shall be observed by naked eyes first. 100% ultrasonic testing or 100% penetrant testing are carried out for butt welds of API 650 SUG II tanks. For the defects found by 100% magnetic particle inspection, dye detection, 100% ultrasonic inspection or 100% penetrant inspection, the radiographic inspection shall be used again to ensure the accuracy of the test results.

Data Required from Manufacturer on Completed TanksIf specified in the purchase order, the Manufacturer shall supply marked copies of plans (or a separate sketch) showing the location of all plates, with a means of identifying each plate with the heat numbers. These markings shall be checked by the inspector. A copy shall be attached to the Manufacturer’s report.Check of Stress-relieving OperationThe API 650 SUG II tanks inspector shall check any thermal stress-relieving operation and shall be satisfied that the temperature readings are accurate and that the procedure conforms to the applicable requirements of these rules.
