A678 grade A plates API 650 self-anchored tank
The tank 20-in. inside-diameter nozzle shown in Figure F-6 is located in solid plate in the sidewall of a cylindrical storage tank 148 ft in diameter in an area where the thickness of the wall plate, tw, is 11/2 in. A corrosion allowance of 0.10 in. is required on all surfaces of the tank exposed to the stored liquid. The total internal pressure, Pl + Pg, at the center of the opening is 24.9 lbf/in.2 gauge. The thickness of the API 650 self-anchored tank wall plate, t, required by 5.10.3 for the latitudinal unit forces, T2, acting at this level is 1.44 in.
For API 650 tanks Projection from outside of tank shell to extreme face of flange - plus or minus 5 mm. API 650 self-anchored tank Elevation or radial location - plus or minus 6 mm. API 650 tanks Flange tilt in any plane, measured on the diameter across the gasket surface - plus or minus degree but not exceeding 5 mm. Flange bolt hole orientation - plus or minus 2 mm.
The head of API 650 self-anchored tank etc. vertical oil tank is the end cover on the top of vertical oil tank. It is used to separate the oil stored in the tank and the medium outside the tank, and also used to bear the pressure on the top of the vertical oil tank. The quality of the head is closely related to the long-term safety of the API 650 self-anchored tank. The head surface can be divided into convex shape, cone shape and flat shape according to its shape. The oil tank head can not be disassembled after welding.
