This standard applies only to API 650 tank API standard 650 unanchored tanks whose entire bottom is uniformly supported and to API 650 tank in non-refrigerated service that have a maximum design temperature of 93°C (200 °F) or less.

Atmospheric API standard 650 unanchored tanks refer to storage tanks whose gas or vapor pressure is greater than -0.02MPa but less than 0.1MPa. Metal atmospheric storage tanks made of steel welded on the ground are often used to store petroleum, chemical and other similar liquids. Atmospheric API standard 650 unanchored tanks usually have a connecting pipe directly connected to the atmosphere, so that the operating pressure in the storage tank does not exceed the design pressure at all times.

Every after-sales service shall have a detailed record of the customer's product problems and handling methods. The records shall be sorted into volumes and filed on a monthly basis, and submitted to the technical department for filing.
