A573 Gr 70 plates API Std 650 vertical welded storage tanks

Our company will set up a full-time service engineer for the project, who is responsible for the interface and coordination of technical support and after-sales service of the API Std 650 vertical welded storage tanks project. In response process of customer service center, in case of technical support and after-sales service demand, the user shall contact the full-time engineer of API Std 650 vertical welded storage tanks customer service center, and the technical personnel will give corresponding answers and on-site treatment according to the needs of users.

Prefabrication requirements of API Std 650 vertical welded storage tanks, large vertical storage tank wall panels:
1. The prefabrication of wall panel shall be processed in strict accordance with the requirements of the drawings, and inspection records shall be made.
2. After the wall panel is rolled, it should be placed on the platform for inspection with a template. In the vertical direction, use a straight-line template to check, the gap should not be greater than 2 mm, and in the horizontal direction, use an arc-shaped template to check, and the interval should not be greater than 4 mm.
3. When wall panels are rounded, attention should be paid to prevent irreversible plastic deformation caused by external forces. After rolling, it should be placed on the platform for inspection, and then placed on the prepared mold.

Impact Test Requirements for Oil Storage Tanks Primary Components
All API Std 650 vertical welded storage tanks primary components of 9% or 5% nickel steel shall be impact tested in accordance with Q.2.2.2 through Q.2.2.4. Impact testing is not required for primary components of austenitic stainless steel, nickel alloy, and aluminum materials. Welds in high-alloy (austenitic) stainless steel shall be impact tested if required by Q.6.3.
Impact testing of plates, including structural members made of plate, shall comply with the following:a)Impact test specimens shall be taken transverse to the direction of final plate rolling. b)Charpy V-notch specimens shall be cooled to a temperature of –320°F for A353, A553, and A645 steels for impact testing.
