A53 grade B pipe API 650 unanchored liquid-storage tanks

The working pressure of the low-pressure storage tank is greater than that of the atmospheric storage tank, but its pressure is less than 0.1MPa. API 650 petroleum storage tanks are classified according to their environment: Above-ground storage tank: refers to the bottom of the storage tank at the design elevation of API 650 unanchored liquid-storage tanks and above; the bottom of the tank is below the design elevation of +0.00 but not exceeding.

However, if the inner and outer tanks API 650 unanchored liquid-storage tanks are supported by a common foundation, the seismic foundation loading shall be calculated using the lesser response modification values for either the inner tank or outer tank for both tanks and a dynamic analysis shall be performed to determine the combined effect.
Allowable Stresses: For Appendix R tanks, design allowable stresses shall be per API 620 large low pressure storage tank, Section R.3.3.
