This standard applies only to API 650 tank API 650 ground-supported liquid storage tanks whose entire bottom is uniformly supported and to API 650 tank in non-refrigerated service that have a maximum design temperature of 93°C (200 °F) or less.

In all other equations in this standard API 650 ground-supported liquid storage tanks where yield strength or modulus of elasticity is used, such as Equations 27 and 28, similar corrections shall be made for aluminum alloys.
