API Std 650 mechanically-anchored steel tanks general introduction
Our technical department plays important role in our professional communication with customers, especially those who have high technical requirements for steel materials and those who need complex further processing. Under such condition, our technician department can provide technical support in time, anylize customer design or make drawing according to customer needs rapidly, so that we can proceed smoothly. The profession of our team has won great praise of customers.
Prefabrication requirements of API Std 650 mechanically-anchored steel tanks, large vertical storage tank wall panels:1. The prefabrication of wall panel shall be processed in strict accordance with the requirements of the drawings, and inspection records shall be made.2. After the wall panel is rolled, it should be placed on the platform for inspection with a template. In the vertical direction, use a straight-line template to check, the gap should not be greater than 2 mm, and in the horizontal direction, use an arc-shaped template to check, and the interval should not be greater than 4 mm.3. When wall panels are rounded, attention should be paid to prevent irreversible plastic deformation caused by external forces. After rolling, it should be placed on the platform for inspection, and then placed on the prepared mold.
Allowable Design StressesThe maximum allowable design stresses for the API Std 650 mechanically-anchored steel tanks materials outlined in Q.2.1 shall be in accordance with Table Q-3.The values for the allowable design tensile stress given in Table Q-3 for materials other than bolting steel are the lesser of (a) 331/3% of the specified minimum ultimate tensile strength for the material or (b) 662/3% of the specified minimum yield strength, but they are 75% of the specified minimum yield strength for the stainless steel, nickel alloy, and aluminum materials. Allowable test stresses are based on the limitation of API 620 oil tank storage standard Q.8.1.3.
