API 650 self-anchored tanks undercut

Our quality control department will do inspection for details of the steel materials API 650 self-anchored tanks before delivery. We would invite the customer side to attend the inspection together. If they can not come, we will also take rich pictures for them to check. Meanwhile, we will publish inspection report and send them the PDF version. Besides, we accept any third party inspection such as SGS, BV, etc. And our quality control department will support the third party to inspect the steel materials smoothly and try our best to deliver the qualified steel materials to customers earlier.

API 650 self-anchored tanks Manhole: The manhole is used for the operator to enter and exit the oil tank for inspection, cleaning and repair. For the convenience of personnel access, the installation position of the manhole is generally on the center line of the oil tank bottom, and the vertical oil tank is installed at the lowest layer of the tank wall. API 650 self-anchored tanks Light-transmitting hole: Light-transmitting hole is also called day-lighting hole. It is used for lighting and ventilation when inspecting, repairing and scrubbing the oil tank. It is generally installed on the top of the oil tank above the inlet and outlet pipes.

Hydrostatic Test
The API 650 self-anchored tanks product shall be vented to the atmosphere when it is filled with or emptied of water. During water filling, the elevations of at least four equidistant points at the bottom of the tank shell and on top of the ringwall or slab shall be checked. Differential settlement, or uniform settlement of substantial magnitude, requires an immediate stop to water filling. Any further filling with water will depend on an evaluation of the measured settlement.
