API 650 aboveground steel oil storage tanks with a ringwall foundation
According to the structure type of floating roof, floating roof API 650 aboveground steel oil storage tanks can be divided into internal floating roof tank and external floating roof storage tank. The internal floating roof tank is a floating roof tank with tank roof. The top is the combination of dome roof and floating roof, the external is dome roof, and the internal is floating roof. There is no vault on the top of the External floating roof tank, only a top plate floating with the storage liquid. The common feature of the inner floating roof tank and the outer floating roof tank is that both of them can reduce the evaporation loss of the storage liquid.
In addition to the requirements of API Standard 620 tank Appendix Q.8.1, the nameplate shall be attached to the tank at an accessible location if it is outside of any insulation or protective covering of the tank. The nameplate for the inner tank shall be located on the outer tank wall but shall refer to the inner tank. The nameplate, if any, for the outer tank of a double-wall tank shall be located adjacent to the nameplate or the inner tank and shall refer to the outer tank.
