13.5m diameter API standard 650 anchored liquid-storage tanks

The thickness of the API standard 650 anchored liquid-storage tanks annular bottom plates shall be in accordance with Table Q-4 (for steel or aluminum, as applicable). The thicknesses shown are minimums. The ring of annual plates shall have a circular outside circumference, but it may have a regular polygonal shape inside the tank shell with the number of sides equal to the number of annular plates. These pieces shall be butt-welded in accordance with Q.7.1.1, Item b. The plates of the first shell course shall be attached to the annular bottom plates by a weld as required by API 620 oil tank 5.9.5 except when a full-penetration weld is used or required (see Q.7.1.1). Butt-welds in annular plates shall be not closer than 12 in. from any vertical weld.

The API 650 is the American standard for welded flat-bottomed vertical API standard 650 anchored liquid-storage tanks storage tanks. This standard dictates tank design, manufacture, welding, inspection and installation requirements.

The Egypt customer ordered 130 tons API standard 650 anchored liquid-storage tanks stainless steel plate in stock, and this batch has left port today for its destination today(October 25th, 2019). 316l stainless steel is molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel. This material has better corrosion resistant property than 304/314L for it's higher Ni and Mo content. (it is considered to be marine grade stainless steel, not suitable for warm sea water treatment). 316L austenitic stainless steel supplied by our company has good formability and weldablity, additionally it is proved to have excellent properties of tensile, creep and stress-rupture strengths in elevated temperature environment.

Static storage loss is also known as "small breathing" consumption. The rise and fall of the temperature in the API standard 650 anchored liquid-storage tanks leads to the increase and decrease of the pressure in the tank, which makes the mixed oil gas discharged from the tank, and the external air is sucked into the tank, resulting in the oil consumption. Fluid level loss is also called "big breathing" loss. It is the oil consumption caused by the change of gas space volume in the API standard 650 anchored liquid-storage tanks during the oil receiving and sending operation, which causes the mixed oil gas to be discharged out of the tank, and the external air is sucked into the tank, resulting in the oil consumption due to the change of liquid level height.
